Nationellt Prov Engelska onsdag den 16 maj

Hej!

På onsdag ska ni skriva alla återstående delproven i engelska n.p. (3 st) i Valrossen. De som behöver extra lång tid till att skriva kommer att vara i sal 1225. Provet börjar 08:00.
Det är mycket viktigt att ni har med er flera blyertspennor, suddgummi samt en pennvässare.
Ni kan även ta med er något att dricka samt något att äta på om ni vill.

Första delen är "Reading" och den tar 80 minuter. Sedan blir det en rast (15-20 minuter).
Nästa delprov är "Listening" och det tar 50 minuter. Efter dessa prov blir det lunch. Det kommer att sättas upp anslag om exakta tider imorgon tisdag och därför vet jag inte just nu när det sista delprovet börjar efter lunch.
Sista provet är "Writing" och det tar 80 minuter. Alla prov ska vara avklarade vid 13:00.

Det är förstås mycket viktigt att ni kommer i tid till klockan 08:00 eftersom det är då som provet ska börja.

UN Millennium Development Goal Drinking Water Target is Met

The second of the Millennium Development Goals (there are eight of them) are now reached says the UN and that is clean drinking water. The first goal to be reached was to half the world´s extreme poverty. But there is still a lot to be done. 800 million people are still without clean drinking water in our world today! The Invisible Children

Dear students,

I just heard about a man called Joseph Kony who abducts children in Africa and turns them into soldiers. Earlier he was in northern Uganda but now he has moved on to Kenya where he continues his horrible actions. Please take some time and watch the movie called KONY2012 and then take a stand against this by adding the film on Facebook or just by spreading the word. There is also a movement called The Invisible Children that works towards trying to capture Kony and to bring him to justice.

Te1 Project Week

Dear Te1 students!

This week you will be working with sustainable development in general terms and with the subject of Sweden´s water management in closer detail. This is what you will need to do:

Answer these questions: What is sustainable development? What issues are we facing in the world today when it comes to sustainable development in general? How does Sweden approach these issues at home? How does Sweden work with water treatment and sewage systems?

After having answered these questions use your information and write a short report. The report should also include what you have found out about water and sewage management in Leksand.

You will be given a word list from me where you need to fill in new and/or difficult words that you confront during your research. The list needs to be added to the end of the report.

Deadline week 11.
